27.5ml of our favourite Champagne. Picnic sized!

Our favourite Gin discovered on holiday at St Mary's on the Isles of Scilly. Lovely balance of piney juniper, piquancy of cardamon, with a hint of orange, herbal lime leaf and warm familiar notes of cassia. Serve a large measure of Island Gin over ice, garnished with a fresh kaffir leaf and a dried orange slice, with two measures of tonic.

Wolfschmidt Kümmel, a famous liqueur derived from caraway seeds, has been out of the UK market for ten years. Restored and revived by the Silver Liqueur Company, Wolfschmidt Kümmel is made in Switzerland to a recipe faithful to its origins and instantly recognisable to its legions of fans in clubs, restaurants, functions and parties.

Usually served from the freezer, fridge or over ice, Wolfschmidt Kümmel is also a superb cocktail liqueur. Its distinct herbal notes, natural sweetness and luxurious flavour make it the perfect pair for vodka and gin.

The quintessential Margaret River Chardonnay, made from a selection of Vasse Felix's premier plots of powerful Chardonnay. Made in the modern Margaret River style of elegance, power and restraint, with the wild complexity which distinguishes Vasse Felix Chardonnay.

Featuring the Proprietor’s Grandfather, Sidney Neill, Wine Merchant, on the label, Picnic is the perennial favourite wine to enjoy everyday and a wonderful introduction to the pleasure of Central Otago Pinot Noir. This fruit was sourced from Two Paddock’s own vineyards in Alexandra and Gibbston and Bannockburn. Picnic Pinot Noir is made in a diminutive style aimed to reflect the characters that Central Otago Pinot does so very well – black and red cherry fruit, spice and a generosity that keeps you reaching for the next sip.

Delicate yellow colour. The nose displays the floral notes and touches of honey typical of this variety. Intense and luscious on the palate, with great balance that provides a fresh, intense mouthfeel.

Marsanne, Roussane, Viognier. Organic.

Lovely and soft on the palate, with a slightly saline finish. From Pezenas close to the sea.

This wine is a pale lemon colour with fragrant aromas of poached pears, orange peel, and light spices. The clean and fresh palate displays citrus characters and a creamy texture, with a crisp and refreshing finish. Stunning as an aperitif, as well as great with Asian food.

A slightly different take on Garnacha, for Daniel. Perhaps a more modern approach, as it's completely produced in stainless steel. The wine is a little more focused on pure, berry fruit, with a light extraction. A natural fermentation and very light pigeage, combined with natural fresh acidity, leave a very drinkable wine. A little bit of floral and herbal notes, and soft tannin keeps interest on the pallet.

Designed to be approachable young, and to be enjoyed through the summer, perhaps chilled a little. A very drinkable red.

Grape Varieties Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah

A blend that changes slightly each year, the last few vintages of this wine have been on fire. Beautifully defined dark fruit (there always seems to be a generous lick of cassis in this wine, even when the Cabernet component is actually quite modest), just a frame of toasty oak (although that roasted Alentejo character amalgamates with that too), and just enough Alicante crunch to keep it all fresh and energetic.

Older vintages are still drinking well, and with the improvements in this great value wine, there's no reason more recent vintages won't last even longer.

From the heart of Languedoc, near Pezenas this is an original blend with unusual grape varieties that combines the lightness and freshness of the Piquepoul grape with the complexity of Roussanne.

A lovely floral nose from the white grapes used. It is super-crunchy with fresh strawberry and cranberry fruit. The palate is ripe but the lovely fresh fruit character is beautifully balanced, a black treacle note brings a darker note to the finish.

Luscious, full and fruity dessert white from the Rhône made from a black-skinned variety of muscat that brings an enchanting bouquet, as well as a deeper colour.

Mainly Malbec but blended with a little Cabernet and even less Petit Verdot. Dark purple, with rich berry fruits with nuances of mocha and chocolate. Great with roast beef, or bbq ribs.

Produced from vines planted very close to the village of Meursault with an average age of 70 years.
Handpicked, gently pressed and the juice transferred into steel tanks to ferment with some lees stirring. A
very small proportion of new oak (5%), this is one the finest ‘value for money’ wines in Burgundy. Stylish, fruit
packed, with notes of tropical fruits, grapefruit zing and a wonderful textured, creamy mid palate. Tasted
blind, you would believe this wine is from a far higher appellation than mere Coteaux Bourguignons

At last! There is so little of this wine produced that we have had to bide our time, cajoling and pushing
Pascal into letting us have an allocation. Finally, he has yielded, and we can now offer this lovely partner
to the Chardonnay. As a pair they are the perfect mid-week Burgundy.
Produced from 2 parcels of 73 year old Gamay vines, the grapes are fermented in old oak barrels and then
aged for 15 months. Beautifully constructed, there is so much energy in this wine – rich and succulent it
just makes me smile!

Fiasco Vino Toscano is an affectionate, amusing nod in the direction of those straw-covered flasks which became such popular table lamps! The wine is a blend of bought-in organic grapes: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera & Colorino from Tuscany; Montepulciano from Le Marche and Frappato, Nerello Mascalese and Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Really gluggable and great value.

ThIs South African white is a blend of Chenin Blanc 50%, Viognier 20% and 10% Grenache Blanc with Semillon, Verdelho and Roussanne, all mountain grown fruit from estate vineyards, mainly Stellenbosch with small parcels from Swartland, Franschhoek and Paarl.  An epic, delightful blend from the ever inventive Donovan Rall. It is positively packed with rich, bright, fresh stone fruit and minerality and keeps on giving with a core of stoney acidity and a relentless finish. This is a wine to really savour. Try it with Asian dishes or Chicken in a creamy sauce. Heavenly!

Thörle is a much-acclaimed family domaine based in Saulheim in the Rheinhessen, and since 2006 it has been run by brothers Christoph and Johannes. The vineyards are managed organically, and the domaine is being taken in a biodynamic direction.

2021 was an interesting year for white wines, and although yields were down as a result of early difficulties with frost, the growing season meant that what remained on the vine was subjected to nigh on perfect, cool, growing conditions.

An exuberant and richly hewn wine that is as beguiling as it is moreish. Fine fillagree lies with flavours that range from lime to paech to honey and lily. Lasts forever on the palate. A sublime wine. 7.5% alc. 96/100

Each wine (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez) is matured, separately in its own solera for 12 years. Once blended together, the resulting sherry is returned to a 45-cask solera for a further 3 years ageing. Dark mahogany in colour with green-amber edge. It offers vibrant notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, shoe polish, raisin and chocolate beer nuts, all very well integrated. On the palate it is smooth and rich at the beginning, full of prune and burned oranges peel flavours. Provocative spicy notes appear just before its nuttiness and terrific acidity cuts through the sweetness. With a truly unforgettable finish. 75 cl

This sparkling rosé release from Winding Wood Vineyards is made from the base wine of the lovely 2023  vintage and then blended with the sweetest red wine from the 2021 vintage, lending a gorgeous blush colour and sumptuous red-fruit profile. Aromatic and almost floral with rose petal and wild strawberry notes on the nose, followed up by an elegantly balanced, finely structured palate.

Using the classic British dessert of Summer Pudding as our inspiration we have a created a Fruit Gin Liqueur to be enjoyed up and down the country, from garden parties to palaces, come rain or shine. Local Strawberries, Raspberries, Redcurrants and Blackcurrants are blended with Foxdenton's own gin to create a sumptuous ‘Best of British Summertime’ Liqueur. With each berry clearly defined on the palate and some serious Gin heft on the finish we cannot imagine a drink more suited to celebration! Chin chin!

Heidi Schröck took over her family winery in 1983, in the historic village of Rust situated in the province of Burgenland about 5 miles from the Hungarian border. As Heidi explains “South-facing vineyards in a softly rolling landscape form an amphitheater around Rust on Lake Neusiedl bringing forth some of the best and most tradition-rich wines in Austria. Yearly hours of sunshine that lie much higher than the Austrian average combined with sandy soils mixed with clay and high calcium content provide the ideal prerequisites for impressive, full-bodied wines.

Medium sweet with rich, ripe stone fruit, green mango, and waxy-honeyed tones but with a refreshing seam of acidity that makes the wine buoyant and light. So much complexity here, and so much quality.

Taylor’s Historical Collection is a series of limited editions that pay homage to the changing shape of Port bottles since the early 18th Century. The first release was a charmingly dumpy bottle lovingly named “The Onion”, the second was a flatter flagon and a bestseller at Harvey Nichols called “The Chestnut”, and the latest is “The Mallet”. This striking shape had become well established in the UK by the 1730s and shows the progression from the globular bottle (that didn’t allow cellar ageing) towards the more modern cylindrical style we’re familiar with today.

This is an exceptional Tawny Port that is ready to drink and requires no decanting. A blend of carefully curated Ports from Taylor’s extensive Tawny stocks stored at Vila Nova de Gaia, all of which have been matured for long periods in wooden barrels imparting deep, nutty flavours. The result is very Christmassy, displaying plum, fig, sultana, raisin and marzipan notes, alongside leather, coffee, butterscotch, cigar box, and woody spices. We recommend serving at around 12-16°C with a cheeseboard, dark chocolate-based desserts, or festive fare such as Christmas cake, figgy pudding, stollen and mince pies.

Taylor’s hold the Royal Warrant as one of the Suppliers of Port Wine to Her Majesty The Queen. Although steeped in history as you would expect of a family-run business established in 1692, the forward-thinkers at Taylor’s are also committed to sustainable viticulture and have installed solar panels on three of their properties.

A lovely wine combing the freshness of Sauvignon blanc, with a dash of floral aromatics from Viognier. A great alternative for fans of Picpoul.

Domaine de Cavalier is run by the brilliant team at Chateaux de Lascaux, where the current winemaking team is the 16th generation of the family to make wine in Pic st Loup. You might say they not what they are doing!

Rich and clean, with Christmas-cake spices, and notes of roasted nuts, lemon and grapefruit.Clean and refreshing, with a touch of sweet spice.

An elegant, truly gastronomic rosé from our home in the Rhône. A classic salmon pink rosé with
delicate perfumed aromas of rosehip syrup, wild berry blossoms and cherries on the nose. Full
flavoured, ripe and beautifully balanced with acidity, there’s elegant, textured, berry fruit on the palate
with a twist of raspberry freshness to lift the finish. Deliciously balanced and moreish.

Deep ruby colour with dark cherry on the nose. Quite rich and silky on the palate, with a fine fresh and lightly tannic finish.

Fresh and fruity with aromas of peach, almond and waxy lemon. Quite full, rich and oily, it has a beautifully balanced backbone of firm acid and great persistence.

Pale coloured, this is surprisingly aromatic with fresh lemon and hints of peach. The palate is quite full, but really fresh, with a creamy leesy character and notes of toast, lime and lemon. Bone dry, long and fresh.

The nose shows mineral notes, bruised apple and a whiff on wood smoke. The palate has richness and depth, but also taut structure and full acidity, making a wine of great poise and elegance.

This estate is unique. The Carmargue is very low lying, sandy and with high water levels. The temperature remains warm at night due to the proximity of the sea. It is often windy and the air can carry all out of moisture. All of this is what Grenache Gris thrives upon. A stunning rosé that is anything but wishy washy. This packs a flavour punch and is excellent with food as well as a joy to sup on the terrace on a hot summers day. Let your senses take over and you will invisage the wild white horses splashing through the Carmargues watery plateau!

Finca Allende Rioja Blanco is a refined white Rioja crafted predominantly from Viura with a touch of Malvasía de Rioja, sourced from mature bush-trained vines in the gravelly clay soils of Briones. Fermented in new French oak and aged on its lees with regular bâtonnage, the winemaking imparts a creamy texture while preserving freshness and structure. The result is a balanced wine where subtle oak integrates with ripe fruit, supported by a mineral backbone and leading to a smooth, dry finish.

The Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc from Sébastien Magnien showcases a clear, pale yellow hue and reflects the purity of high-altitude Burgundy vineyards. Crafted from Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich soils, the cooler conditions of the Hautes Côtes lend freshness and aromatic precision, while Magnien’s minimal-intervention approach allows the terroir to shine. The nose reveals bright citrus notes of lemon and green apple layered with delicate white flowers and a subtle mineral edge, leading to a lean, crisp palate with lively acidity and a light, chalky finish that is both elegant and refreshing.

A refined wine crafted from Arneis vines grown in the sandy, clay-rich soils of Canale, aged for six months in steel and a further two months in bottle before release. Quince, nectarine and a light flint or gravel nuance are set against understated honey and florals. Richness is the word to describe the global impression of the palate: creamy, ripe, stone fruit – peach and nectarine – with a vanilla opulence and a twist of granadilla and lemon oil adding contrast.
