Our best-selling white wine, and for good reason. From South Africa’s Western cape, where vineyards have been planted for centuries. Old vine Chenin gives texture, honeyed fruits and crisp apple acidity, whilst the Viognier imparts weight, balance and deep, ripe tropical notes. South Arica is producing some great wines right now, and this is amazing value. A brilliant all-rounder; enjoy with salty nibbles such as cheese straws or roasted nuts for an easy-going start to any evening.

The vineyards of Villa Enzo are positioned on the gentle slopes of Abruzzo and this wine is made in the traditional way from 100% Montepulciano grapes. There is no influence of oak so this purple/ruby coloured wine offers pure, vibrant aromas of red cherry fruit. The satisfying palate is rich with juicy fruit and very approachable, soft tannins. A classic Italian wine.

Grenache and Cinsault blend from the sunny Pays D'Oc. Fruit-forward and rounded, with surprisingly good texture and concentration for a rose at this price point. We worked hard to find it! Strawberry and spice, with a lengthy finish. A great aperitif, but equally good for sunny lunches.

Percheron is a French breed of workhorse, and this is our "workhorse" red. It is a real stalwart and hugely popular. Medium bodied, full of red fruit flavours and oh so clean on the palate. Tremendous value.

A great partner to rich and savoury red meat dishes such as salt-marsh lamb, or a gutsy bean casserole.

The Cape Heights Chardonnay is an excellent value crisp Chardonnay from South Africa's Western Cape. Fresh, tangy, citrus, with perfumed jasmine notes and white stone fruit flavours. Impressive breadth and character on the palate and a refreshing finish. Try this wine with grilled white fish, roast chicken, or pasta with creamy sauces.

Les Volets Chardonnay from Vallee de l’Aude in the Languedoc in France is a fresh, flavoursome southern French Chardonnay in a Burgundian style. There are cream and honey notes on the nose with balancing underlying acidity that ensures longevity and elegance.

A classic Southern Rhône red; friendly and warming autumnal, leafy aromas and an ample, baked fruit palate. A delicious, uncomplicated, soft, fruity and very drinkable red.  Made predominantly from a blend of Grenache and Syrah from the Vin de Pays de Vaucluse. Traditional Rhône-based viticulture is used, with part manual/part machine harvest. 

A wonderful and innovative blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino from Southern France. A deliciously refreshing change from straight Sauvignon Blanc. Luscious exotic fruit aromas from the Vermentino are balanced by the clean, zingy fruit of Sauvignon, resulting in a wonderfully aromatic smooth dry white.

Ideal as an apéritif, with moules marinieres or creamy chicken dishes. The exotic flavours also complement Chinese and other oriental dishes. A great all-rounder and excellent value.

Apricots and almonds - classic Viognier!  A Viognier of intense power, character and zest; soft apricots and chamomile tea are followed by a rich palate and a bitter almond finish.  Wonderfully creamy and full in the mouth, silky and very fruity. Goes well with Thai and Vietnamese dishes or strong cheeses such as Taleggio, Pont-l'Évêque and Roquefort.  Suitable for vegans.

A classic Provencal rose, beautifully pale pink in colour with a delicate nose of wild strawberry, Morello cherry and a definite hint of sea air. An abundance of fresh red fruit on the palate, with balanced acidity and a crisp finish. Our all-time bestseller.

Planted at altitude on the cooler, hillside slopes of clay and limestone in the foothills of the Pyrenees, this Chenin is one of the latest varieties to be picked, achieving full ripeness yet retaining a refreshing crispness. This ripe yet crunchy fruit gives this wine its freshness, vigour and structure as well as its luscious texture, which is further complemented and enriched from partial vinification and maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak. Incredible value and quite capable of handling more tricky food pairings, such as Thai Curry or Tagine.

‘Oliviers’ derives from the olive groves that flourish around the sun-drenched vineyards of southern France. This wine captures that, with brightly perfumed fruit and a touch of wild lavender and garrigue. Intense flavours of ripe red summer berries with warm spice and a wild herby edge from the Mourvedre, which also lends structure and texture. The style is smooth, luscious and full of character.

A real easy drinker, with or without food. Try with tomato-based and salty Mediterranean dishes.

Picpoul vines grow just inland from the Étang de Thau, home to southern Languedoc's famous oyster and mussel beds. Along the coast you'll find cabins where locals gather to feast on mussels or 'huitres braisees' (oysters cooked over a fire pit) which are perfect with a glass of Picpoul de Pinet.

Gently perfumed, ripe melon fruit on the nose. The palate is ripe but retains excellent freshness, balanced by a touch of white pepper spice that is very typical of its grape variety. Deliciously long, the finish shows bright fruit and a clean, saline/mineral edge.

Really easy drinking Chianti, without compromising on character. A splash of Merlot softens out the young Sangiovese, making it a perfect weeknight wine for pizza and pasta dishes. Cracking stuff and great value.

Hailing from Piedmont, in northern Italy this is a fine, and beautifully made style of Sauvignon, with citrus fruit characters lifted by ripe gooseberry and floral notes. Zesty acidity balances perfectly with the considerable weight on the palate, and crisp grapefruit flavours make this an attractive and characterful wine. Vegan and Sustainable. 12% abv

A cracking value red blend from Alentejano, in the south of Portugal.  Based on Tempranillo, known locally as Aragonez, this shows lifted aromas of blackcurrant and blueberries and just a touch of florality. The palate is bright and well-defined with layers of black cherry, plum and dark spice, over ripe tannins. Great stuff!

A lovely, full bodied and satisfying wine from a blend of regional varieties. From the Alentejano region of southern Portugal, known for its elegant yet powerful wines. Makes a great partner to sausage and lentils, or roasted game birds.

A clean, modern and approachable style of Verdicchio from 100% estate-grown grapes. Delicate apricot and orchard fruit aromas with a hint of white flower and citrus. The palate has minerality and texture with ripe stone fruit characters, refreshing lemon citrus acidity, a touch of salinity, and a crisp zesty finish. This wine offers exceptional depth and concentration for the price. Great with fish dishes, chicken salads and light starters.

Monte Schiavo own a portfolio of prime vineyard within the Castelli di Jesi zone, and this wine comes from some of their most prized plots, notably the Colle del Sole vineyard. Their collaboration with renowned Italian winemaking consultant Carlo Ferrini since the 2015 vintage, has added a new depth and complexity to their winemaking. One to watch.

Intense and quite persistent, fruity with hints of tropical fruits, apple and pears. Well-balanced, with Malvasia bringing aromatic complexity and perfunme, alongside zippy, fresh Chardonnay. A great value, easy drinking, everyday wine.

How woud we descibe this..? Well, Italian Muscadet! Full of Sicilian lemon and sea salt character this is just the perfect wine to have with fish and seafood. An appealing savouriness, and good texture here too from some time spent on lees (also a common trait of Muscadet). Pair with lobster ravioli or crab linguine for a match made in heaven.

A rich, ripe Cabernet from California with wild berry fruits and complimented by sweet vanilla oak. It has a lovely softness which makes it very accessible, with dark cherry and subtle oak notes on the finish. A great glass of wine which keeps you coming back for more! The grapes are sourced from California's regions of Lodi and Manteca and the final blend is then given 6 months in wood to marry the blend and add weight. Top write up in Decanter March 2020 and we love it too.

This windswept Sauvignon Blanc is not concocted from over-croppped grapes, nor pumped up on clever winemaking additives. This authentic wine comes from cool, windswept, ocean-facing vineyards in Stellenbosch. These gems give up meagre yields and small berries, which are hand-harvested to ensure natural intensity and cutting acidity is preserved. Fresh and zesty with grassy and dry bay leaf aromatics, Fynbos (which surrounds the vineyards), mineral notes, with hints of citrussy richness. This is a restrained Sauvignon Blanc with a palate that has lots of minerality and citrus with just a touch of green pepper and grass. Fabulous seaside Sauvignon.

Ancora Rosso, Sangiovese, IGT Puglia is an approachable everyday-drinking red. The perfect midweek wine. A juicy, unoaked, food-friendly wine with appealing aromas of fresh red fruist. The palate has juicy berry fruit characters and a hint of spice. Soft, rounded tannins are balanced by tangy acidity. Ideal with simple pasta tossed in olive oli, garlic and Parmesan, pizzas and tomato-based dishes.

A very smart Syrah from one of our favourite South African producers, this is plush, polished and seriously appealing. Fresh and lifted berry fruit aromas make for a very inviting nose; full yet elegant, with bramble, cassis and black cherry. These flavours follow on the palate with a typical Syrah note of black pepper spice. Fine, ripe tannins with a long rich, finish. Astonshing value.

Grown, made and bottled in South Africa. It is crafted the wild way – old vine fruit from Stellenbosch and Swartland, fermented with wild yeast found naturally on the grapes…not in a packet. This magical transformation takes at least six months.

Curico, Chile.  Full bodied and opulent; a real bear-hug of a wine that delivers depth and power whilst still maintaining great balance. Intense nose of blackberry, spices, freshly cut wood and cherry liqueur. Full in the mouth, well-structured, with a long finish of toast and vanilla. Aged in a mix of French and American oak for 12 months, lending further depth and presence to the wine.

The name refers to 'terraces of the moon' - the selected hilllside vineyards of Trentino where grapes for this distinctive, lifted Pinot Grigio are sourced. A zesty wine with excellent concentration and depth. Stone fruit, apple and floral nose. The palate shows delicate yet complex floral notes, subtle mineral character and attractive white fruit leading to fresh citrus acidity on the finish.

A multi award-winning wine, this is excellent with lemon sole, snapper or baked seabream. Or try it with Carpaccio with Parmesan

A red with layers of spicy fruit and damson, that massively over delivers.

Ripe, appealing aromas of plums, blackberries, and cherry and a hint of milk chocolate. Rich and spicy on the palate with dark fruit, balancing acidity and soft tannins.

Bodegas Juan Gil own over 500 hectares of vineyards, between 700 and 850 metres altitude, in the northwest of Jumilla: old bush vine Monastrell planted in chalky soils, and Shiraz grown in sandy soils on younger, trellised vines. Vinification is carried out at the winery in the heart of the Juan Gil vineyard area. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, temperature controlled, and the juice maintains contact with the skins during this 10-day process.

Will match up with rich pasta dishes with salami or ham, or a premium, meat-rich, lasagna with layers of meatballs and slices of pepperami in the mix! Sunny weather? - perfect for barbecues too.

For fans of Villa Maria, this is where you find the self-same wine, under their alternative label, and at better value! This 'de-classified' wine comes from the Villa Maria Estate in Marlborough, and shows the classic New Zealand Sauvignon style. Aromatic notes of gooseberry and cut grass on the nose with a rich palate of tropical fruit. Defined and lifted, this is the perfect crowd pleasing wine for a party.

Such a great value wine. Deliciously ripe fruit with flavours of prunes, a touch of herbiness and pepper spice, the tannins are smooth and supple and the finish is fresh - a characterful, well structured Merlot. Fresh and juicy - not the usual 'flabby and bland' Merlot you find at this price. Smooth, ripe and seriously good - this is a very easy and generous drink, sure to please the crowds. Try with steak in peppercorn sauce.

Vila Nova Vinho Verde was awarded Best Vinho Verde of Portugal 2017. This refreshing blend of Loureiro, Avesso and Arinto is produced on the Lencastre family’s historic estate. Floral, citrus aromas lead on to a palate with bright citrus acidity and a lingering finish. The classic ‘holiday wine’ of Portugal, boasting lower alcohol and a slight spritz, making it refreshing, lively and very easy to drink (preferably on a sun-lounger!) Serve ice cold.

An easy blend of Gargenaga and Chardonnay from the shores of lake Garda. Easy drinking and perfect for parties.

Ultra refreshing Lebanese white with bags of citrus character and hints of warm spice At 1,000m above sea level in the breathtaking Bekaa Valley between Mt Lebanon to the west and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains to the east. Altitude, microclimate and unique valley soils create perfect conditions for Mediterranean-style wines. The style is fresh and crisp with notes of white peach and green lemon on the nose, followed on the palate by tropical fruit and melon over flinty minerality and floral aromas. Multi-layered and textured, with a subtle spiciness similar to Gewurztraminer, but totally dry. One to savour. Try with classic Greek salad, oily fish (lobster, sardines) and lemon, or with pasta bake.

This is a family run winery, in the heart of Redondo, with a deep love and understanding of the viticultural heritage of their region. Alexandre Relvas started in 1997, and his two sons Alexandre Jr and António now run the show, ably supported by Head Winemaker Nuno Franco and his team at the Pimenta Winery.

The hand-picked grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in the Dao region south of the Douro Valley, where old vines are tended traditionally in granite soil. The grapes undergo a cold, pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days, followed by a final alcoholic fermentation lasting around 4 days. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation, and is then matured for 12 months in (2nd year) French and Russian oak.

Immediately juicy with lots of bramble fruits and polished aromatics. Underlying savoury and herbal character with silky, supple black fruit. Soft tannins with hints of pine and vanilla on the elegant finish.

Goes well with grilled beef or lamb or robust stew. For a veggie alternative try with spinach and lentil casserole.

Textured and luxurious this is a sophisticated Cabernet Franc from Gard. There is a wild 'after the rain' woodland perfume, with menthol and truffley hints. The palate is incredibly long and layered with bramble fruit, earthy peppery layers and a touch of sweet prune on the finish.

Juicy lamb shanks, rich tomato based dishes laced with roasted garlic and pepper, marinated steak with mashed potato and green beans or savour it at the end of the meal over a good cheeseboard.

Bright ruby red, with upfront aromas of freshly-picked raspberries and an underlying savoury leesiness. Fleshy red fruits continue to the palate and are joined by fine tannins and juicy acidity; the foundations of a serious Pinot Noir.

Delicious both with and without food; try with a herby sausage casserole, grilled lamb or pea and ham soup. Don't serve too warm!

The creation of this wine was a judicious blending exercise to marry aromatics and lift with a generous, velveteen palate. Grapes are sourced from vineyards across Southeast Australia. They are picked at night to avoid high daytime temperatures and crushed immediately after picking. Temperature-controlled fermentation avoids extraction of harsh tannins and maintains the juicy fruit flavours.

In the centre of Spain, a stone’s throw west of Madrid, is Bodegas Bernabeleva. At the feet of the Cerro de Guisando and Gredos mountains this winery lets its vines stretch out their roots through the thin infertile sandy soils, formed from decomposed granite, to cling on to life. Four generations have tended these old hardy vines that have repaid the care and attention with quality fruit hand harvested from the organically managed vineyards. An easy to drink wine with beautiful aromatics of fresh lavender and wild berries. The palate is lively with bright acidity and there’s plenty of rich juicy dark fruit in the finish with super fine tannins.
The usual Spanish fayre such as suckling pig, tapas and paella sit very nicely with this wine.

Aromas of ripe citrus fruit crushed flowers and underlying minerality give way to a fresh, crisp palate of lemon zest, fresh lime, stone fruits and notes of flint soil. A touch of the distinctive salinity pervades throughout. 

Bouza do Rei winery was founded in 1984 - four years before the local Rías Baixas appellation was introduced. As such, it was a driving force in the development of the modern style of zingy, richly flavoured whites made from the local Albariño grape variety, which thrives in this cool coastal region in north-west Spain.

Light bright and breezy with a tropical twist, Viura is the grape responsible for White Rioja; here just 11% abv so the perfect party plonk!
