Clos du Chateau
Clos du Chateau de Cadillac 750ml
Just across the river from the more famous (and considerably more expensive) Sauternes, this lusciously sweet dessert wine offers great value. Late harvested grapes affected by noble rot, present notes of seville orange marmalade, beeswax and ginger, tropical fruits and wildflower honey, all held in balance by refershing lively acidity. Unctuous and delicious.
Domaine Moutard Diligent Rose Methode Traditionelle
Stunning value and stunning wine. From esteemed Champagne house Moutard comes this fantastic cremant. Made using Methode Traditionelle, just like Champagne, this Pinot noir rose sparkling comes from the Chablis area - halfway between Champagne and Burgundy - and offering the class of both. This is for those moments when you want Pink Champagne without the price tag. Fabulous.
Weingut Sepp Moser Classic Zweigelt Organic
Distinctive black cherry notes, with herbal and subtle tobacco aromas. Vibrant in acidity but well balanced. Light and juicy in texture with supple tannins and a sour cherry twist on the finish.
Gruber Roschitz Gruner Veltliner ORGANIC
Refreshing and interesting wine, with an appealing white pepper and dill character. Gently spicy, lively and rounded, with subtle apple notes over a savoury-mineral character. Great match to dishes using broccoli, cauliflower and kale where it compliments the mustardy character perfectly.
Chateau Gairoird Rose ORGANIC
A delicious organic rose from the heartland of Cotes de Provence. Lovely creamy texture, with fresh grapefruit, peach, and strawberry aromas that follow through on the palate. Very gastronomic, with good body and refreshing acidity. Outstanding quality at this price. 12.5% abv

Toro de Piedra Gran Reserva Petit Verdot Cabernet Sauvignon
Curico, Chile. Full bodied and opulent; a real bear-hug of a wine that delivers depth and power whilst still maintaining great balance. Intense nose of blackberry, spices, freshly cut wood and cherry liqueur. Full in the mouth, well-structured, with a long finish of toast and vanilla. Aged in a mix of French and American oak for 12 months, lending further depth and presence to the wine.
Chateau Haut Grelot
Haut Grelot Rouge
Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux benefits from an ideal microclimate where there is a high level of sunshine and enough rain to guarantee the perfect environment for grape production. As a result the reds are fruity and concentrated. This cuvee is produced from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, spends some time in oak barrels creating rich, plummy fruit supported by silky tannins. Really punches above its weight for appelation level wine - a real bargain.
Rapaura Sauvignon Blanc
From prisitne vineyards in Marlborough. Full-flavoured and exceptionally pure with sweet, juicy tropical flavours and succulent passionfruit, a lively whack of zesty citrus and freshly squeezed lime makes the finish luscious, dry and refreshing. A definite notch up from the 'supermarket Sauvignon' we've grown used to.
Cuvee Jean Paul Blanc
From the Cotes du Gascogne, this is a deliciously fresh wine with a fragrant nose, and zesty palate. Crisp green fruit and cirtus and lively acidity make this dry yet fruity, with a very clean finish. A real easy drinker with character. Ideal as an aperitif or with fish and chips, simple vegetable or salad dishes. Great party wine.
Rupe Secca Grillo
A very pure expression of Grillo from Sicily, this is a dry white wine, yet bursting with fruit. Fresh grapefruit, ripe lime and lemon, even tropical notes, intense and racy on the palate, with a lovely, cleansing salinity to finish.
Azienda Agricola Il Cascinone
Camillona Sauvignon Blanc
A fine, elegant style of Sauvignon from Piedmont, with citrus fruit characters lifted by ripe gooseberry and floral notes. Zesty acidity balances perfectly with the considerable weight on the palate, and crisp grapefruit flavours make this an attractive and characterful wine.

Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV
Bollinger Grande Annee Vintage 2007
Taittinger Brut Reserve
Chapeau Melon Rouge
A summery blend of Gamay and Pinot noir, comparable to a great Beaujolais Villages, but without any of the ‘bubblegum’ notes those wines sometimes suggest. Fresh like the seaside, unctuous and juicy, with elegance and depth by the bucket-and-spade full.
Pasquiers Grenache Cinsault Rose
Grenache and Cinsault blend from the sunny Pays D'Oc. Fruit-forward and rounded, with suprising texture and concentration for a rose at tthis pricepoint. We worked hard to find it! Strawberry and spice, with a lengthy finish. A great aperetif, but equally good for sunny lunches.
Gouverneurs Reserve Blend
Ripe rich flavours of blackcurrant with hints of chocolate mint and green pepper enveloped in a restrained elegant style. An iconic Bordeauxblendfrom this historic producer.
Rousanne, Grenache blanc, Chenin, Chardonnay. A perfecct harmony of northern and southern French varietals that capture the diversity of this region.
Herencia Altes Garnatxa Blanca Case of 6
This is a really beautifully made wine. What struct me most was the lovely balance between a full and rounded structure and yet retaining all important vibrant acidity. Very aromatic with flavours of melon and white fruits. Perfect aperitif or wonderful with tapas, fish, and grilled chicken.
From Puglia, in southern Italy this is fruit-driven and delicate, yet well-structured and beautifully nuanced, with bramble and forest-like aromas. So fresh, and very ‘alive’ on the palate.
Chateau de Cedre
Chateau du Cedre Cahors 2014 ORGANIC
Malbec from it's original home in Cahors, France. Plummy and full, with deep blueberry and mocha notes, beautifully balanced by a stony minerality that brings great vitality to the wine.
Julien Brocard 'Les Plantes' Petit Chablis ORGANIC
Organic and Biodynamic, this well outstrips its Petit Chablis status. With fruit that is almost tropical in nature, the generosity of this wine is astounding. Opulent and deep, yet bright and dynamic in its acidity.
Savia Viva Classico Blanco
Sea air, lemon groves, fresh nectarines and green pear... You could be strolling through a market in Barcelona! That’s what this wine conjures up to us; the freshness of the seaside with the warmth of Mediterranean fruits. Made from traditional Cava grapes (Macabeo, Xarello and Parraleda) in vineyards in the hills behind Barcelona, this textured and refreshing wine keeps you coming back for more.. And at 11.5% you kinda can!
I can vividly remember the first time I tasted this. Mercurey is at the southern end of Burgundy, over an hours drive due south from Beaune, and it gets warmer and the grapes riper. As such the hardonnay is wonderfully rich, ripe, and powerful, but due to Faiveley prowesss nothing is allowed to go to extremes. They have managed to harness the power with soft oak ageing to produce a really single vineyard masterpiece. Treat yourself!
Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Rouge La Framboisiere Monopole
Are you prepared to treat yourself? The clue is in the name. There really are strong hints of wild strawberry and summer fruits in this stunning single vineyard gem from southern Burgundy. If you are looking to make an impression and create wonderful memories - this is your wine. I love it!

This was a genuine surprise, and in a really good way. Generic Bourgogne Blanc can be limp, acidic and a disappointment. This is bursting with ripe tropical fruits, and hints of delicate wild white flowers. A stummer for under £20
Ernst Gouws & Co
Ernst Gouws Chenin Blanc Stellenbosch
Chenin is South Arica's signature white grape. It is very versatile and creates wines across the spectrum of very sweet all the way to dry. This is dry and really refreshing and a wonderful example of the huge improvement in the quality of wines from this country. Taces of honey, but crisply fruity with fresh pear and green apple acidity to leave the palate refreshed and ready for another sip!
Lismore Reserve Chardonnay Greyton
Californian Samanatha O'Keefe is really blazing a trail in the mountains above False Bay. Aged in some new as well as some old oak barrells, this wine is a poised and balanced as a ballerina, and equally supple, agile and lithe. I refuse to make the old comparisons to wines of the old world, because this could well be better. Yes, and guaranteed special corks guarantee zero corked bottles, mean that careful cellaring for up to 25 years will result in incomprable results. I would rather you drink this, but investors will also be rewarded.
Louis Latour Grand Ardeche Chardonnay
We try and avoid the mainstream brands but hats off to this one. Fantastic value for money. Louis Latour have transferrred their burgundian skills further south to the warmer Ardeche and created a really stunning wine. Just try it!

Plenty enough going on to improve for another decade in bottle.

Nerello mascalese from Mt Etna. Burgundy-esque, with added volcanicity! Stunning complexity and length. We love this wine.

This sunny vintage has produced a rich and concentrated style of wine, with intense apple fruit supported by a full bodied palate and a long finish. The wine is matured in the family cellars, spending 12 months in oak barrels. The use of oak is carefully monitored to ensure a pure expression of Auxey-Duresses terroir was captured. Absolutely delicious. Pair to shellfish such as crab or lobster or smoked salmon.

One of our favourites in this price catergory.

Vibrant, berry fruit offsets spicy, developed aromas with some coffee notes from 12 months in oak. Typically spicy black fruit palate with some structure and weight. A harmonious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Graciano.
Typical crisp and delicate bubbles. Pale light yellow colour, delicate and complex bouquet with fruity notes that remind of peach, green apple with second notes of acacia and lilac.Fresh and light on the palate, with balanced acidity and body; harmonic with a long persistent aftertaste.

Classically old-fashioned Rioja that has stuck to it’s 1877 roots.Fine natural warmth and smooth, slightly nutty flavours. Full of controlled evergy and a firm finish.A really lovely wine. Steven Spurriers choice.
Bodega del Rio Elorza
Verum Pinot Noir
From Patagonia in the soth of Argentina comes this terrific Pinot Noir. Cool climate, long warm days and very cold nights allow for a very clean and bright wine with huge intensity of flavours. Ripe red cherries and summer fruits abound and the finish is long and elegant. A real show stopper and GrapeSmith favourite.
Bodega del Rio Elorza
Cool climate Chardonnay from Patagonia. Crisp with plenty of minerality. With Chablis prices getting more and more expensive this is a great alternative.

A thrilling wine that leaps from the glass with instant rapport. Layers of spice, dark plum, cassis and berry fruit adorn the palate - pleasantly held by an oaky embrace. To be shared, to be enjoyed.

Percheron Shiraz Mouvedre
Percheron is a French breed of workhorse, and this is our "workhorse" red. It is a real stalwart and hugely popular. Medium bodied, full of red fruit flavours and oh so clean on the palate. Tremendous value.
Ontanon Rioja ORGANIC
Produced from 57ha of low-yielding organic vineyards, Ontañón make 300 barrels dedicated to organic wines. Harmonious and elegant, this is everything modern Rioja should be. Deep and concertrated but with a refershing lightness on the palate. A touch smokey, leading to a long moresih finish.
Nuovo Quadro Gavi di Gavi
A fine, single estate Gavi di Gavi from a 5 hectare plot on the La Battistina estate - textured and complex whilst retaining bright acidity. Pear and quince are balanced by notes of blanched almond and bay leaf. A very enjoyable wine of excellent quality.
