Cult wine! Comprised of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Cinsault and even a little Viognier, the fruit is sourced from all over the Cape area with each vineyard selected for the best quality fruit. You are enticed into the glass with a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, raspberries and mocha… On the palate, the wine explodes with black fruits, exotic spices, violets and vanilla. Full bodied most certainly! But the weight and supple tannins are well integrated, making this a very drinkable, extremely crowd-pleasing wine. 

With 30 acres of vines in the Hampshire Downs, 5 miles east of Winchester, it is the deep chalky subsoil that is key to the success of the superb Grange Estate sparkling wines. Acting like a sponge, it stores water from the winter for the heat of the summer. It also imparts a steely minerality, finesse and precise structure to this “Classic” sparkling wine. A blend of 65% Chardonnay with 20% Pinot Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir, it fermented 86% in stainless steel tanks, with 14% in old oak barrels. 33 months of lees-ageing in bottle has contributed a beautiful complexity to this wine. Pale silver-gold colour with lively bubbles, aromas recall lemons, red berries, baked apple and honeyed brioche. Palate is clean, full and generous, with satisfying layers of flavour, the finish being long, harmonious and crisp.

Totally unique to St. George’s Distillery. A local farming estate has been making their own Nog for generations, and very kindly allowed the distillery to borrow/steal the recipe. This is a very alcoholic cream and is best drunk in moderation. A very simple drink consisting of our Single Malt Whisky & cream. We think best served outdoors on a cold and blustery day. Perfect for long walks or a day fishing, or if you are not one to brave the elements, add some ice, a comfy chair and a log fire. Either way you are going to love this Nog.

Thörle is a much-acclaimed family domaine based in Saulheim in the Rheinhessen, and since 2006 it has been run by brothers Christoph and Johannes. The vineyards are managed organically, and the domaine is being taken in a biodynamic direction.

2021 was an interesting year for white wines, and although yields were down as a result of early difficulties with frost, the growing season meant that what remained on the vine was subjected to nigh on perfect, cool, growing conditions.

An exuberant and richly hewn wine that is as beguiling as it is moreish. Fine fillagree lies with flavours that range from lime to paech to honey and lily. Lasts forever on the palate. A sublime wine. 7.5% alc. 96/100

 Darker expression of Pinot Noir with blackberries, liquorice (bordering on ammonium at first, which blows off after a proper decant), cherry liquor and even some espresso beans. Underneath there is beautiful structure and freshness; it's superbly zingy, tangy and full of pinosity. The finish is long and beautiful.

Lovely now and should be just as fine over the next ten years. Benefited a lot from some air. I think this would pair with a lot of different food, no need to veer on the side of caution here.

Made from floor-malted Maris Otter barley from Warminster Maltings and First Gold hops. A bright, golden amber-coloured beer with a gentle bitterness.

This Pinot Noir with garnet-colored juice is perfumed with fine spices (nutmeg and cinnamon), mocha, and Montmorency cherry.  Its texture finds its balance in a generous flavor that is felt in a velvety tannin highlighting the finesse of the grape variety.

The vineyards is full of Turitelles fossils, these marine sediments are carried by a limestone and clay base, forming sloping plateaus in the landscape, on which the vineyard is located. This terroir in the foothills of the Pyrenees is known for the quality of its hillsides and its sunny and cool microclimate.

A delicious alternative to the classic champagne breaksfast, serve with eggs benedict and criossants or posh bacons sandwiches. Or do as the they do in the Barossa and pop one open on Christmas lunch with your turkey and cranberry sauce!

Featuring the Proprietor’s Grandfather, Sidney Neill, Wine Merchant, on the label, Picnic is the perennial favourite wine to enjoy everyday and a wonderful introduction to the pleasure of Central Otago Pinot Noir. This fruit was sourced from Two Paddock’s own vineyards in Alexandra and Gibbston and Bannockburn. Picnic Pinot Noir is made in a diminutive style aimed to reflect the characters that Central Otago Pinot does so very well – black and red cherry fruit, spice and a generosity that keeps you reaching for the next sip.

A superb Irish single malt, with a creamy character and a wonderfully smooth palate. Very drinkable.

Really easy drinking Chianti, without compromising on character. A splash of Merlot softens out the young Sangiovese, making it a perfect weeknight wine for pizza and pasta dishes. Cracking stuff and great value.

A vibrant pale pink with a delicate coppery tone. On the nose this rosé evokes aromas of fresh lemon, exotic fruit with a delicate floral aroma. On the palate, this rosé is bursting with ripe red fruit and a refreshing citrus flavour finished with subtle white pepper spice.

A blend of Cinsault 30%, Grenache Noir 30%, Syrah 30%, and Vermentino 10%.

Our house Prosecco and a real step up on mass supermarket offerings, produced by a Cantina founded in 1947. Fresh and smooth, with notes of wildflowers and crunchy orchard fruit and bubbles that are fine and persistent. Perfect as an aperitif!

This beautifully balanced and classic white Burgundy has a savoury, salty, biscuity nose with a restrained, mineral palate. Oak ageing has lent a creaminess to the nose and gives broader texture before a long finish.

Chardonnay grapes sourced from Gevrey Chambertin and Auxey Duresses. Regular plowing and minimal fertilisers as well as minimal pruning to promote vigour and reduce yield. The grapes are hand picked and transported to the winery in small containers. Fermentation in foudre followed by transfer to 1 year old French barriques (Berthoumieu) for 12 months. During this time the barrels are rolled to stir up the lees - this happens 4 times a year after which the wine is left on its lees for a further 3 months. The wine is fined with bentonite prior to bottling but not filtered. Glam up your roast chicken dinner with this classic white Burgundy.

Grown according to sustainable viticulture with Guyot pruning. The bunches are harvested by hand
and then transported to the winery where they are sorted, with some de-stemming (maximum 25%),
then fermented using native yeasts in open wooden vats along with the whole bunches. The grapes are
crushed and pumped over daily. Traditionally long, the fermentation takes around twenty days after
which the wine is transferred to oak barrels and aged for 16 to 20 months on fine lees.
TASTING NOTE
Morello cherry, raspberry and a touch of blackcurrant and liquorice on the nose. The palate is firm and
fresh in youth and will continue to evolve beautifully.
FOOD MATCH
Vegetable gratin or pork loin. Also lovely with mild fresh cheeses such as Savarin or Epoisses.

Founded by husband and wife team Daric Schlesselman and Sarah Ludington in 2012, Van Brunt Stillhouse was inspired by the pioneering spirit of Cornelius Van Brunt, who was a farmer in the Dutch colony of Breukelen. The American spirit is aged in small casks for 18 months to develop the unique depth of flavour, including honey, clover and marmalade notes for a sweet profile. The perfect way to finish off the evening.

A new-age Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon (blended with Malbec), expressing all the regional hallmarks. It is a bright, fruit-forward, earlier-drinking style with attractive savoury nuances from Vasse Felix’s quality-led, minimal intervention winemaking approach.

From Patagonia, in the far south of Argentina, comes this terrific Pinot Noir. A cool climate of long warm days and very cold nights allow for a very clean and bright wine with huge intensity of flavours. Ripe red cherries and summer fruits abound and the finish is long and elegant. A real show-stopper and a GrapeSmith favourite.

The vineyards of Villa Enzo are positioned on the gentle slopes of Abruzzo and this wine is made in the traditional way from 100% Montepulciano grapes. There is no influence of oak so this purple/ruby coloured wine offers pure, vibrant aromas of red cherry fruit. The satisfying palate is rich with juicy fruit and very approachable, soft tannins. A classic Italian wine.

Typical crisp and  delicate bubbles. Pale light yellow colour, delicate and complex bouquet with fruity notes that remind of peach, green apple with second notes of acacia and lilac.Fresh and light on the palate, with balanced acidity and body; harmonic with a long persistent aftertaste.

A family winery with heritage dating back to 1679, the Coetzees consider themselves caretakers and guardians of the beautiful lands they farm. Their wines reflect this ethos - not bending to whims and fashions - but holding fast to an idea of quality, purity, and working with natures bounty.

An exquisite, oaked Chardonnay, rich with aromas of dried pear and peach with a hint of vanilla on the nose with green apple and gooseberries on the palate and a lingering minerality. Just when you think it's done, the finish hits you with toast and butter and brioche that just goes on and on. An outstanding wine at this price. Capable of 10+ years ageing.

ThIs South African white is a blend of Chenin Blanc 50%, Viognier 20% and 10% Grenache Blanc with Semillon, Verdelho and Roussanne, all mountain grown fruit from estate vineyards, mainly Stellenbosch with small parcels from Swartland, Franschhoek and Paarl.  An epic, delightful blend from the ever inventive Donovan Rall. It is positively packed with rich, bright, fresh stone fruit and minerality and keeps on giving with a core of stoney acidity and a relentless finish. This is a wine to really savour. Try it with Asian dishes or Chicken in a creamy sauce. Heavenly!

Biodynamically farmed and 100% organic. A delicious blend of Sauvignon Blanc 57%, Chenin Blanc 39%, Semillon 4%. The Sauvignon Blanc aromas are prominent on the nose, with beautiful lime and prickly pear notes. Intense flavours, with great balance. A tight mineral core and creamy mid palate from the Chenin Blanc allows for great complexity and a persistent finish. The Sauvignon Blanc lends lovely, fresh acidity to the wine. The wine is made as naturally as possible with no added acids or enzymes. Quite frankly this is really outstanding value for a wine from low yieding vines, hand picked and transported to vinification on pack horses!

Very floral nose, blossom, ripe Apple and limes leap out of the glass, the wine has a very mineral edge. The palate shows richness and purity with sweet, mouth-filling fruit. The wine is very focused displaying notes of lime, ripe apples, and minerals, with tangy acidity and great length.

Very taut and with real zing, this northern outlier reflects the more skeletal form of its native Chablis, as opposed to the more familiar, richer expressions further south. The commune of Préhy is the only one in Chablis where the "Bourgogne" appellation is permitted. The principle reason relates to the subsoil (Portlandian rather than Kimmeridgian). Despite its lean profile, full malo has given this skeleton a luxury cashmere sweater that softens and rounds out those angled edges.

There are not many English Gin makers who create their own Spirit. The Witchmark Distillery harvest their own Barleyand distill a pure grain Spirit. Some of which is detined to become Whisky. Some of the tops and tails are used to create this London Dry Gin. The Fonthill Estate also has its own spring water. So this Gin really is very special, small batch and a true premium gin from a single source.

 Wolfschmidt Kümmel, a famous liqueur derived from caraway seeds, has been out of the UK market for ten years. Restored and revived by the Silver Liqueur Company, Wolfschmidt Kümmel is made in Switzerland to a recipe faithful to its origins and instantly recognisable to its legions of fans in clubs, restaurants, functions and parties.

Usually served from the freezer, fridge or over ice, Wolfschmidt Kümmel is also a superb cocktail liqueur. Its distinct herbal notes, natural sweetness and luxurious flavour make it the perfect pair for vodka and gin.

Vinification: Manual harvests in boxes throughout the entire estate. Double
sorting of the grapes with destalking (no crushing). Alcoholic fermentation in open vats (soft maceration for 3-4 weeks). 7 to 10 months in oak vat.
Style
A typical St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. A fruity and lively style, slightly spiced with floral notes. Enjoy up to 3-4 years after vintage.

Organic 100% Cab Franc

Vineyard :Granitic and alluvium soil. Natural cover cropping to avoid erosion. Treatments are limited as much as possible depending on the weather, no pesticides to preserve biodiversity, only organic fertilisers. Control
of vigour and yield by leaf stripping, debudding in spring and green harvesting for better ripening of the grapes.
Vinification: In the cellar, sorting, crushing and partial destemming. 3-week maceration in open tanks. Aged for 7 months 50% in barrels and 50% in vats. Assembly of the different plots before bottling.
Style: Pleasant and aromatic wine. Pretty fresh red fruits and delicate spices
give a beautiful expression of syrah.

How woud we descibe this..? Well, Italian Muscadet! Full of Sicilian lemon and sea salt character this is just the perfect wine to have with fish and seafood. An appealing savouriness, and good texture here too from some time spent on lees (also a common trait of Muscadet). Pair with lobster ravioli or crab linguine for a match made in heaven.
