From the Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile vineyards, with one bottle produced per vine. The must vinifies in wood and ages 18 months in large and small barrels, and then aged for at least 6 months in bottle pre-release. Aromas of ripe tomatoes and tomato leaf, followed by plum and cherry are expressed in a concentrate palate. Leather, steel and sanguine notes resonate as the wine opens with a lingering aftertaste. This wine expresses an astounding intensity and balance. For fans of Brunello who want something more 'mid-week' in price.
