What a stunning wine. For fans of Barolo and Barbaresco in particular, this offers an utterly sublime wine at value. Comprised of 95% Nebbiolo, with 5% Cabernet Franc, from vines planted as far back as 1967. The sandy, clay-rich soils and warmer microclimate of Langhe gifts a vivid, charming, early-drinking wine in comparison to the more prestigious appellations of Piedmont. Aged solely in tank, keeping the wine vibrant and fresh. With a high, refined tannic structure, this is a wine for food-pairing. Any Italian meat dishes or strong cheeses will compliment the palate perfectly. Packed with juicy, red and black currant fruit, blood orange peel and rose, and showing a class and tension that is quite terrific for the price.
