Rapsani Old Vines 2019

A delicate and floral nose, with wild strawberry, macerated cherries, hints of cured meat and exotic spices. Showing both fresh and developed red fruits and a certain prettiness, but also a more savoury, rustic side. The aroma is so complex and intriguing it is hard to move on to actually taste the wine. On the palate the tannic finesse and freshness is striking. Both are hallmarks of Xinomavro, but remarkably executed here making it a versatile partner at the table. Give this some air and the palate experience only gets better. A wine that unfurls slowly, rewarding those who take the time.

Lovely to drink now but can certainly age for those who can wait.. Otherwise, decant ahead of time to allow full development.
