Muscadet from a 4th generation family venture. Established in 1927, Guilbaud Frères is ideally situated in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation. 60 hectares of vines are cultivated sustainably with the greatest respect for the environment.
A selection of the Domaine’s finest grapes go into this wine, grown from schist soils with gneiss (acidic) or gabbro (calcium) rock, depending on the location. Harvesting is carried out in mid-September. Maturation takes place in an equal mix of stainless-steel and subterranean tanks. The wine is left on its lees for 7 months in order to acquire full body and finesse. Showing wonderful depth and complexity, this is rich and textured with quince, apple and citrus, with savoury and saline notes in balance.
Steeped in history, the label was designed by the grandfather in the 1970’s and the bottle itself is still made by hand. This is the Domaine’s signature cuvée thanks to it’s classic style and unique identity that has been passed down through the generations.
