Feudi di San Gregorio was established in 1986 in Sorbo Serpico, a tiny village in Campania’s Irpinia region, near Mount Vesuvius, by the Capaldo and Ercolino families from Irpinia. This highly acclaimed winery invites us to rediscover the identity of Mediterranean flavours through indigenous grapes that reach their full potential with a modern winemaking approach. The Rubrato Aglianico is an intense, deep wine with a classic Aglianico profile of wild black fruits, cherry liquorice and spice. Well balanced, with structured tannins a long finish, reminiscent of baked fruits and a delicate balsamic note.  Aglianico is a powerful wine, best enjoyed with full-flavoured, hearty foods like those found in southern Italy. Age-worthy.
