It's back! Our favourite Mercurey from this boutique producer in southern Burgundy. Lithe and athletic, but with soft, warm fruit in contrast. Fresh, ripe and earthy on the nose, the palate gives way to an energetic, middle-weight wine, and mouth-watering fruit that manages to retain a fine sense of balance. The tannins are phenolically mature, lending a linen-like texture and while this is accessible young it should also reward a few years in the cellar if you prefer your reds with a bit of tertiary development. We're very pleased to see this back on the shelf, and in the glass!
