Passetoutgrain - or 'throw it all in' - is the rather unflattering translation of what essentially means a combination of Pinot noir and Gamay from Burgundy. Capturing the best of both grapes - freshness, acidit and smoky red fruit from the Pinot, with softer blueberry and cherry notes from the Gamay filling out the palate. This is so ethereally light but at the same time brimming with breadth and depth of flavour. It could be mistaken fr Cru Burgundy, but for the lesser price tag. A lovely wine for Game in winter, and lunches outside in summer.
