Champagne Irroy was founded in 1820 and was at one time a member of the old Syndicat des Grandes Marques.
After falling under the radar it was purchased by Taittinger in 1955 who have always let it run as a separate house but taken great pride in letting it flourish and produce wines of great character and quality.
It is a light aperitif style but has complexity, balance and great elegance. A blend of over 25 crus from the Marne and Aube regions. Made of 30% Chardonnay and 70% Pinot Noir and Meunier, the Extra Brut cuvée is a blend of over 25 crus from the Marne and Aube regions, aged for more than 30 months in cellars.
