A UK exclusive from the folks at James Eadie. This 11 year old Caol Ila has been aged in bourbon casks, before being finished for 8 months in a Palo Cortado sherry cask. 1 of 315 bottles, James Eadie are starting to get a bit of a following for their flavour heavy cask finishes.
The nose shows polished coins, salted almonds, burnt rubber, toffee and ash. On the palate, toffee pennies, with smoky, subtle BBQ tones. Wisps of smoke, hops and steam engines linger on a long and developing finish.
