James Eadie owned 250 pubs in his lifetime from setting up his brewery in the 1854. He also bottled whisky, and these bottlings pay homage to the different pubs he owned during his lifetime. This, the Red Lion bottling, is a Caol Ila, aged in re-charred and re-fill hogsheads. It is a UK exclusive, and is one of 1,128 bottles.
Shows a beautiful mix of ash and bonfire smoke, dried citrus and sweet biscuit notes. Light butterscotch and warming leather notes, finishing with nutmeg. A great and unique example of this much loved Islay distillery.
