A layered & thought-provoking blend inspired by the whites of the Rhone Valley. The underlying rich medley of fresh & roasted stone fruit is topped with a toasty note of spice-laced crumb. Balanced with a restrained zesty hit of ginger on the lingering finish.
A firm favourite at GrapeSmith. Everything you would expect from the Medoc. 60% Cab Sav 40% Merlot. Packaged in smart wooden box of 6 bottles.
I can vividly remember the first time I tasted this. Mercurey is at the southern end of Burgundy, over an hours drive due south from Beaune, and it gets warmer and the grapes riper. As such the hardonnay is wonderfully rich, ripe, and powerful, but due to Faiveley prowesss nothing is allowed to go to extremes. They have managed to harness the power with soft oak ageing to produce a really single vineyard masterpiece. Treat yourself!
Are you prepared to treat yourself? The clue is in the name. There really are strong hints of wild strawberry and summer fruits in this stunning single vineyard gem from southern Burgundy. If you are looking to make an impression and create wonderful memories - this is your wine. I love it!
Oh what a joy. Fine, clean and lithe. This really rocks. Gentle tannins, plush fruit structure and and a lovely soft mouth feel. Ideal with white meats particularly game.
This was a genuine surprise, and in a really good way. Generic Bourgogne Blanc can be limp, acidic and a disappointment. This is bursting with ripe tropical fruits, and hints of delicate wild white flowers. A stummer for under £20
Chenin is South Arica's signature white grape. It is very versatile and creates wines across the spectrum of very sweet all the way to dry. This is dry and really refreshing and a wonderful example of the huge improvement in the quality of wines from this country. Taces of honey, but crisply fruity with fresh pear and green apple acidity to leave the palate refreshed and ready for another sip!
