Gran Passione, Veneto
Gran Passione Bianco
A lovely floral wine with hints of vanilla on the nose. Dry, crisp and fresh with ripe fruit flavours which balance out the acidity perfectly. A complimentary blend of Garganega (of Soave fame) and Pinot Bianco, which are cultivated in alluvial territories close to river Piave. The Garganega is fermented in barriques, with 4 months ageing on the lees, bringing richness, body and texture. The Pinot Bianco is fermented in stainless steel, bringing a bright, mineral quality to the finished wine. Northern Italy in a glass.
Really easy drinking Chianti, without compromising on character. A splash of Merlot softens out the young Sangiovese, making it a perfect weeknight wine for pizza and pasta dishes. Cracking stuff and great value.
Percheron Shiraz Mouverdre, Western Cape
Percheron is a French breed of workhorse, and this is our "workhorse" red. It is a real stalwart and hugely popular. Medium bodied, full of red fruit flavours and oh so clean on the palate. Tremendous value.
Orballo Albarino, Rias Baixas
Rias Baixas, Galicia. Northwest Spain. Aromas of stone fruit, honey, and floral notes mingle with wild herbs, sweet mandarin skin and apple. Generous and textural on the palate with hints of gala melon, a touch of salinity, and freshness. Perfect with fish and seafood.
Il Folle Nero d'Avola, Sicily. ORGANIC
A gorgeous, medium-bodied Nero d'Avola, burtsing with blackberry liqueur and vanilla aromatics, alongside rustiic, hedgerow fruits and smokey undertones. Bold and sunny - like the Sicilians themselves.
Weingut Sepp Moser Classic Zweigelt Organic
Distinctive black cherry notes, with herbal and subtle tobacco aromas. Vibrant in acidity but well balanced. Light and juicy in texture with supple tannins and a sour cherry twist on the finish.
Pasquiers Sauvignon V
A wonderful and innovative blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino from Southern France. A deliciously refreshing change from straight Sauvignon Blanc. Luscious exotic fruit aromas from the Vermentino are balanced by the clean, zingy fruit of Sauvignon, resulting in a wonderfully aromatic smooth dry white.
Ideal as an apéritif, with moules marinieres or creamy chicken dishes. The exotic flavours also complement Chinese and other oriental dishes. A great all-rounder and excellent value.
