Made using part appassimento method. Vibrant purple colour and a rich luscious nose full of sweet ripe dark cherry, plum, vanilla and christmas spice. Rich and velvety, with lots of juicy fruit. Very easy drinking. Great wine for roasted and grilled meats. Ideal with game dishes. Excellent with mature hard cheeses. 

Before picking, the ripe grapes are left on the vines for up to 15 days. The grapes begin to dry naturally on the vine (appassimento). The grapes are then carefully hand harvested before being pressed. After fermentation the wine is aged in oak for 3-4 months. This careful and prolonged winemaking delivers a wine of excellent quality and depth, yet at a snip of a price.

Crafted by winemaker Jacques Grange (who is originally from Burgundy), the wines from Delas Freres epitomise finesse and elegance. Recent vintages from the vineyards of Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Ventoux have bee lauded in the press for their intensity of flavour and excellent value.
This, their Cotes du Rhone, has all the style and character of a classic Rhone wine. Deep, plum coloured hue with a classically “Syrah” nose of black pepper and bramble. Aromas of violets and liquorice entice to a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins.

Pair with "Provencale" style cuisine such as stuffed tomatoes and aubergines, mixed grills and barbecues.

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Cabernet Franc, showing very ripe red fruit with some firm structure. Already drinking beautifully (and will for some time yet); and as ever a very superior Bordeaux Rouge - winner of a Gilbert & Gaillard gold medal 2018. We sold pallets and pallets of the 2015 vintage, but arguably the 2016 is even better: The cooler nights of 2016 brought a little more finesse to the reds - a trait that we much admire in Bordeaux. Drink now till 2023.

A sublime Cru Bourgeois wine from this stellar vintage. This decadent wine comes from a historic estate in Listrac, dating to the 18th century. It offers ripe tannins and a bold, structured, core. Dark black plummy fruits alongside tones of liquorice and floral notes. Decanter's most improved Cru Bourgeois Chateau since 2010. This impressive wine is starting to show well now but will continue to develop slowly for the next 10-15 years.

From this legendary Rioja house comes this exquisite Reserva wine. There is rich complexity to be found here with layers of plummy, spicy fruit over fine, slightly smoky tannins. The extended ageing lends it a mellow roundness with breadth and depth that will enable long-term ageing if desired. Full bodied and brooding and wonderful. Drink or keep. This Reserva 2015 is ready to drink now (but would also rewards cellaring, for a more developed style). A crowd-pleaser and connoisseur-pleaser all in one.
