Come join us for a sip back in time with James Eadie Whisky. Rupert Patrick will talk us through the revival of his family brand. Ranging from the revival of his great-great grandfather’s award winning blend, James Eadie’s Trade Mark ‘X’,  to their unique and limited releases of Small Batch, Single Cask and Cask Finish Single Malt bottlings, there will be a whisky to suit every palate.

James Eadie was a Scottish entrepreneur who left school at the age of 14 and set up his own brewery in Burton on Trent in 1854 at the age of 24. By 1877 he had trademarked his own brand of Scotch whisky and by the turn of the century his beer and whisky were being sold in 300 of his own pubs. The business was eventually sold to Bass in 1933 and the last Eadie whisky bottling took place in 1947.

Rupert worked in Scotch whisky for Macleod’s, Beam and Diageo for 26 years before deciding to revive his family whisky business. He has now re-established the James Eadie brand, selling to specialist wine and spirit retailers in the UK and to a variety of export markets.
